I really liked being the girl behind this door.
I’ve been that girl since 2007, and this door has witnessed all of the memories I’ve had since college (and not to mention, this was our first-ever pad in Manila). So yeah, it’s gonna take some time for me to move on from this and get used to all these changes.
I will miss all the friendly “kuya guards” in that building (who told me they’ll miss us and that i should come around and visit them haha). I will miss going home drunk and not having a clue as to how i survived walking home or how i opened the door. I will miss hearing the school bell every day and night. I will miss recklessly crossing Taft Avenue of which i’ve had countless times of near-accident experiences, haha. I will definitely miss my cutie patootie neighbors from all floors (who i bet are mostly from Benilde because they’re all so better-looking than DLSU peeps, haha). And i will, of course, always look back on that corner seat where i know i once left my heart.
Burgundy Transpacific Place will always hold a special place in me. Taft will always be my home. Thank you for the past five years of loooove. <3
But just like what Barney said, “New is always better.” It’s time for me to make new memories here in Makati. Huzzah!
